Welcome to St Peter's

The Church of England Parish Church of Chellaston. We are a lively and friendly community always ready to welcome new people so please feel free to visit us. First-timers and families are most welcome -  don't worry...we won't ask you to do anything! We aim to be inclusive and our worship has dignity but a relaxed style, catering for all ages. Our Parish Church Hall is used by many groups within the Church and the local community both for learning and for fun. Inside our website you will find news, games and information for everyone. Latest Parish  News

Valentines Day falls on a Sunday this year and St. Peter’s will be having a special service to celebrate love and marriage at 10.30am (this will be the theme of the service at 9am too). We are inviting couples who have been married at St. Peter’s in the last three years to the service. Please invite family, friends and neighbours to come along too.

Derby Refugee Advice Centre -  The Methodist Church in Chellaston are holding an ongoing appeal for donations of non-perishable goods and have asked us whether we would be interested in supporting the cause. To this end there will be a box in church for any donations people would like to make.

Alpha Course - There will be an Alpha Course at St. Peter’s beginning on Saturday 15th May, lead by Ingrid Monroe, Val Hart and Terry Salih. The course will be from 12noon – 2pm and will include lunch (bring and share arrangement) and last for 8/10 weeks. Watch for more info on this.

  Holy Communion is also held every Wednesday at 9.15am
 
Family Service—First Sunday of the month at 10.30am in the Church Hall
 
 
The Church has a loop system for those using a hearing aid. Large print hymn books are also available. Books, colouring sheets and toys are provided at the back of the Church for chldren to use during the service. Nappy changing and toilet facilities are available in the Church Hall. Please do not worry if your children wander round or make a little noise!
